Description: A major goal for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is to support behavioral change that has a socially significant positive impact on the client, this notion is true for supervision as well.  Just as our consumers' programs include maintenance and generalization of mastered skills, our supervisees require the same attention and goals.  This makes sense, as many of our supervisees will be completing assessments, creating programs, and training once they have acquired their credentials.  To achieve this level of independence for your supervisees, utilizing Behavioral Skills Training (BST) is key to shaping them into effective practitioners. This training talks through BST and how you can utilize it to become a better supervisor.

• Describe Behavioral Skills Training (BST) and its necessary components as it relates to supervision and oversight.
• Define and summarize research in staff training using BST
• Identify examples of the use of BST to train in the following supervision skill areas:\
  • Fundamental behavioral change procedure
  • Specialized procedures
  • Data collection and analyses
  • Case conceptualization
  • Problem-solving
