The lesson plans organize each hygiene topic into objectives, materials, task analysis, coaching, practice, application and supportive activities. Topics include separate bath and shower routines, toothbrushing, flossing, deodorant, hair care, ear cleaning and shaving the face, underarms and legs.

The 43-page workbook includes hygiene word scrambles, quizzes, toothbrushing and shaving checklists, face-cleanser comparisons and internet scavenger hunts about tooth care and shaving. The general hygiene lesson also describes making a magazine collage and a personal daily hygiene schedule.
